Al-Fatiha

Alhamdulillah
ٱلْـحَـمْـدُ للهِAlhamdulillah is the Arabic phrase for "all praise belongs to Allah," said in gratitude across everyday moments and worship.
Astaghfirullah
أَسْتَغْفِرُ ٱللَّٰهAstaghfirullah means "I seek forgiveness from Allah," a phrase Muslims repeat to express regret and turn back to Him.

Ijaza

Ijtihad

Ikhfa

Ikhlas
إِخْلَاصIkhlas is sincerity, doing an act of worship purely for Allah's sake, without seeking praise or recognition from others.
Iman
إِيمَانIman is faith, belief in Allah, His angels, books, messengers, the Day of Judgment, and divine decree.

InshaAllah
إِنْ شَاءَ ٱللَّٰهُInshaAllah means "if Allah wills," said when speaking about anything planned for the future.
Iqlab
إِقْلَابIqlab is a Tajweed rule where a noon sakinah or tanween changes into a meem sound before the letter ba.
Isti’adah
إِسْتِعَاذَةIsti'adhah is the act of seeking Allah's protection from Shaytan, said before beginning Quran recitation.
Izhar
إِظْهَارIzhar is a Tajweed rule where a noon sakinah or tanween is pronounced clearly, without merging or nasalizing into the next letter.

Jannah

Murattal

Mushaf
مُصْحَفA Mushaf is a physical or digital copy of the written Quran, containing its complete text in the standard order.

مُتَشَابِهَاتMutashabihat are Quranic verses whose precise meaning is not fully definitive, open to scholarly interpretation and reflection.

قَدَرQadr is Allah's divine decree, His complete knowledge and ordaining of everything that happens, past, present, and future.
Qaloon
قَالُونQaloon is a recitation transmission (riwayah) of the Quran through the reciter Nafi' al-Madani, widely used across parts of Libya and West Africa.
Qalqalah
قَلْقَلَةQalqalah is a Tajweed rule producing a slight bouncing echo on certain letters when they carry a sukoon.
Qari

Shaddah
شَدَّةA Shaddah is a diacritical mark that doubles the sound of the Arabic consonant it sits above.
Shukr

Siraat
صِرَاطSiraat refers to the straight path, both as moral guidance in this life and as a bridge crossed in the afterlife.

SubhanAllah
