Sabak is the new portion of Quran a student memorizes in a given session, recited fresh to a teacher for correction.

What does Sabak mean?

As the first stage of the Hifz cycle, Sabak covers newly memorized verses, checked closely for accuracy before the student moves on to reviewing it in Sabki and, later, Manzil.
