Understand what you memorize

Memorizing words you do not understand is slower, and the ayahs slip away sooner. When you know what an ayah is saying, and what comes before and after it, the order sticks. That is the reason Ayafy puts the meaning right next to the text instead of in a separate app.

Read the translation to get the sense of a verse, then open the tafsir when you want the context: why it was revealed, how scholars explained it, what the surrounding verses are doing. You do not have to leave the page you are on.

Translation, tafsir and transliteration are different things

  • Translation gives the meaning of the ayah in your language.
  • Tafsir is explanation. It adds background, context and the views of scholars on what the ayah teaches.
  • Transliteration writes the Arabic in Latin letters, so someone still learning to read Arabic can follow how the ayah sounds. It supports reading and listening, but it never replaces learning the Arabic script.

Works on a plane or on a bad connection

Download the translation and tafsir languages you use and they stay on your device. If you ever need the space back, you can clear downloaded files from the storage settings.

FAQ

Translation, Tafsir & Transliteration FAQ

More questions? Visit Ayafy support.

Does Ayafy have Quran translation and tafsir?

Yes. Ayafy has translation and tafsir in many languages, and more are being added. Tap any ayah to open them.

Which languages are available?

Translation and tafsir come in many languages, and you pick yours from the ayah sheet or from the reader settings. English transliteration is available now, and more transliteration languages are planned.

Can I read Quran tafsir offline?

Yes. You can download tafsir, translation and transliteration to your phone and read them without an internet connection.

What is the difference between translation and tafsir?

A translation renders the ayah in another language. A tafsir explains it, adding context and the explanations of scholars. Reading both gives you the meaning and the background.

Is transliteration enough to learn the Quran?

It is a helpful bridge, not a replacement. Ayafy assumes you are working toward reading the Arabic itself, and transliteration is there to help with pronunciation along the way.
